Top 5 Beauty Products for Spring

1. Face Oils
Josie Maran - 100 percent Pure Argan Oil

I use  Josie Maran Argan Oil

Anyone who is anyone knows face oils are H-O-T-T right now. I use Josie Maran mostly because I think she was ahead of the pack with this breakthrough product. I am combination skin tone and depending on the day, I can be an oily monster. You would think oil on top of oily spots of skin would mean bad news bears. HELL NAH. I use it at night and my skin absorbs is and feels overwhelmingly fresh and glowing! During the harsh winter months, it’s so easy to lose that glow as our skin becomes more fair and even better during the transition into spring temps when my face tends to freak out. Face/beauty oil are great on sensitive skin. You can not go wrong with this product.

2. Gentle facewash with a microderm brush

Clarisonic
I use a Clarisonic Mia  and Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple face wash

This is a loaded gun of skincare. I have only used the Clarisonic brand of microdermabrasion brushes however I totally love mine and believe it is worth the investment. I think ULTA routinely has deals on them where you could spend as little as 99 dolares. These brushes are amazing. I pair mine once a week with Purity during the winter months because I need that scrub to make my skin feel clean. I can use makeup removers and still get ruminants of foundation off with the Clarisonic, it’s magic I swear! I would definitely use it more but with how dry the air is, I dont to risk drying my skin out. One AWESOME pro about Clarisonic is they have numerous different types of brush heads. For me, I love to use my brush in the shower so I bought the Cashmere Luxe head that is sensitive enough that I can use it every time I shower.

3. Multipurpose lip treatment

I use the age old classic, Carmex

I hate chapstick. I rarely get chapped lips and being a farm girl, lipstick is only an evening occurrence and spring time equals field time so my social life is pretty dismal. Everyone encounters random skin freakouts. For me, if I sense any chapped-ness, I reach for Carmex it works so fast. However sometimes if I get a spring cold, I instantly get dry around my nose, CARMEX is magic for that awful redness around the nose (keep in mind its best when your not in public as it does leave a shine).

4. Matte bronzer

Benefit Cosmetics - Hoola

I use Hoola by Benefit

When the snow begins to melt and the days get longer and longer. It’s time to start faking that glow! I tend to stray away from glittery bronzers until closer to summertime. Hoola by Benefit is a great option because its matte and truly goes on like a true tan. This product also works great if you’re thinking about experimenting with contouring. I swear by it. I’ve used a travel size for months. It has such great pigment you don’t need to overuse it.

5. Dark lip shade.

MAC LadyBug lipstick

When it comes to lipstick, I’m your typical 20 something still nervous when it comes to bright lips. It is all too easy for me to judge girls my age you are starting into the lipstick stage. I feel most comfortable in nudes. But as we start digging out florals for spring, it adds such a pop to have some bright red lips! I was feeling brave at the MAC counter and said I wanted ‘red, but like RED’ and Ladybug was the shade I ended up going with. There’s something magical about spring and the idea of shedding all those layers that makes me want to be adventurous!

Happy Spring! I hope everyone thaws out nicely!
